I am proud to report that one of our Research Assistants and periodic blogger, Kwaku Ayebi-Awuah, won the Student Support Services Peer Advisor of the Year Award from the University of Connecticut.

This is a prestigious award because the nominations come directly from advisees.  The award recognizes the peer advisor who has excelled in his/her role in assisting high-potential freshmen who come from underrepresented ethnic or economic backgrounds and/or are first-generation college students in their transition to university life.

PARTNRS has officially completed their first month of recruiting. Seven couples have enrolled and completed their first interview. It has been an interesting and rewarding experience to meet some of these young couples and connect with them. We have come across many couples who are genuinely excited about contributing to our research and help reach its ultimate goal.
